Event at Cambridge University
Adala UK organised a documentary screening and talk on the human rights situation in Western Sahara, on Tuesday 1st May 2012 in the St Edmund’s College, Cambridge.
The evening started with a drinks reception, followed by the screening of the documentary “El Problema”, by Jordi Ferrer and Pablo Vidal, which has won several international prizes, including an amnesty international award at the 2010 Human Rights Film Festival in San Sebastian. El Problema presents the history of the occupation of Western Sahara by Morocco and features testimonies by local human rights activists: http://www.elproblema.net/
The screening was followed by a short presentation by Sidi Braica, a representative of the Polisario Front in the UK, and the audience then had the opportunity to ask questions.
