Report relates to the arbitrary detention of Mr. Mbarek Daoudi.

Mbarek Daoudi, a well-known Saharawi human rights defender, was arrested, tortured and imprisoned in September 2013. The UN Working Group on Arbitrary Detention concluded in Opinion No. 60/2018 that the arrest and detention of Mbarek Daoudi was arbitrary, breaching Articles 9, 14, 19 and 26 of the ICCPR, and Articles 9,10 and 19 of the UDHR. The report, The Case of Mbarek Daoudi, prepared by Adala UK and the Norwegian Support Committee for Western Sahara (hyperlink should cover the whole name of the organisation), comments on, and gives context to, the recent decision of the Working Group.
