Adala UK at the United Nations
Sidi Ahmed Fadel, president of Adala UK, has been in Geneva since 2 March, along with 12 other members of civil society groups from the occupied territories, refugee camps and the Saharawi diaspora.
Together they are reporting to the United Nations on the serious violations of human rights of which the Saharawi people are a daily victim, trying to exert pressure on the international community to intervene to uphold the rights of the Saharawis.
At the same time, Adala UK has also taken advantage of Sidi Ahmed’s participation to promote parallel meetings with all delegations who are interested to know more about the difficult political, social and economic situation that Western Sahara faces. We have already made contact with more than ten government representatives and diplomatic missions present, as well as several international NGOs.
The UN sessions on human rights run until 27 March.
