Dear Mr President,
We write to you from Adala, UK based NGO .We are currently in Geneva working with other Western Sahara representatives at the 31st Human Rights Council Session.
We would like to draw your attention to the use of non-UN language by Moroccan representatives when making reference to Western Sahara at the HRC. The Moroccan representatives made reference to ‘Moroccan Sahara’ and the ‘Moroccan Southern Provinces’. We believe this goes against the terminology used by the UN to discuss Western Sahara. We ask that you take action regarding this matter, urging the Moroccans to respect UN terminology when speaking at the HRC about Western Sahara.
